WTA reported in APEC SOM III

(16 Aug 2021) – Dr. JJ Pan, WTA Rotating Chairperson, had joined and reported the development status of WTA activities during “APEC Senior Officer Meeting III: Digital Economy Steering Group – Data Protection Subgroup” meeting on Aug 10, 2021. This included;

  • WTA had been renamed the full name from World Trustmark Alliance to World Trustmark and trade Alliance since WTA Annual Meeting in September 2019. It aimed to reflect and encourage the relationship between Trustmark and trade industries in the digital economy era.
  • The official website has newly relaunched for clearer and more visionary layout and documentations to demonstrate trustworthiness in the fields.
  • WTA is planning to involve in building regional trustmark framework project. Its members have also initiated and supported various regional and national data protection, cyber security and digital economy facilitating programs.
  • Guidelines of Trustmark Operations (GTO) are in reviewing process in a current year, and supplementing the accessing criteria on cross-border issues. This also learned from APEC CBPRs. Therefore, the content and format are going to be more harmonized for future adoptions in different countries. The next step is to look for pilot testing cases among different locations.

ICBE 2021: A global cross-border e-commerce trade fair

(6 August 2021) – International Cross-Border E-commerce Trade Fair 2021 (ICBE 2021) is hosted by Guangdong Electronic Commerce Association, ebs.org.cn, and HongKong Kuozhan Exhibitions Group. ICBE will be held for two sessions. The 6th Shenzhen Interchange will be held in Shenzhen Futian Convention and Exhibition Center on September 1-3, 2021, and the 7th Guangzhou Interchange will be held in Pazhou, Guangzhou on April 7-9, 2022. The ICBE cross-exposure exhibition area will be expanded to 100,000 square meters, with more than 2,000 exhibitors. It is expected that a total of 100,000 professional visitors will come to visit.
