(5 February 2026) – The Shenzhen Institute of Standards and Technology (SIST) held its 2025 Annual Work Summary Meeting on February 4, 2026, bringing together 120 staff and officials to review achievements and plan for the future. The meeting opened with recognition of outstanding departments and individuals for their contributions to the institute’s development during the year.

President Zhou Peng presented a comprehensive report highlighting SIST’s accomplishments across nine key areas, including international standardization, industrial collaboration, and support for emerging strategic industries. He outlined the institute’s vision for 2026 and the upcoming “15th Five-Year Plan” period, emphasizing three strategic pillars: standard internationalization, standard digitalization, and service industrialization. The focus will be on strengthening standard-setting capabilities and supporting Shenzhen’s “20+8” industrial clusters.
Municipal Market Regulation Bureau officials offered guidance for SIST’s continued development. Standards Division Director Xu Junwei recommended strengthening the institute’s role as a standard-setting source and accelerating digital transformation. First-Level Inspector Shi Shizhen praised SIST’s achievements during the “14th Five-Year Plan” period and outlined five requirements for future work, including enhancing team cohesion, leading standard innovation, and building versatile talent pools.
